Get to know Alice

How long have you been doing hair & makeup?

I have always been a creative individual with a passion for painting, design, fashion and beauty. Having previously completed a Fine Art degree I decided to do a professional training course in makeup and hair two years ago. Training under talented professionals and gaining valuable industry experience has allowed me to develop my skills and given me a solid understanding of all aspects of the hair and makeup industry.

What are your career highlights?
Since training I have been working in various aspects of the industry, from Theatre and Fashion to TV and Short Film. Some of my career highlights so far include working at events such as Professional Beauty, Salon International, and London Fashion Week. I love the atmosphere and buzz of working at live events!
I have also worked for some top brands within the luxury beauty industry, including Sisley, Lancôme, MAC, and Chanel, to name a few.

Why do you love working on weddings?
Making people look and feel great is one of the most rewarding aspects of working in the hair and beauty industry. I love helping to make people feel special, whether creating a unique bridal look or giving Mother of the bide a makeover; it’s an amazing experience being part of someone’s big day. Being creative and doing what I enjoy most whilst having the ability to make someone feel confident and beautiful is extremely satisfying!

What are your must have products in your kit?
I use a variety of high quality professional products to ensure longevity and a beautiful finish. A great makeup starts with good skincare and I couldn’t live without my Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base, which moisturises the skin and creates a lovely base for makeup. I also love Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector, which gives a lit-from-within effect to the skin – great for a bride who wants a youthful and glowing complexion!

Fancy name-dropping some celebrities or big publications you’ve worked on?
Alice’s work has been featured in various beauty and fashion editorial publications, including Shuba Magazine and Elegant Magazine.
She has also worked on television programmes such as ITV’s ‘The Investigator’ (Series 2), the BBC Drama ‘Press’, and the Channel 4 documentary ‘Churchill’s Secret Affair’.
