Celebrity Wedding Makeup Inspiration

So when it comes to your trial I usually recommend that you don’t look at too many pictures of makeup before hand – we’re usually inclined to select images of people who we think look pretty rather then really looking at the makeup! In the past I have been handed celebrity wedding makeup inspiration pictures of celebs such as Kylie Jenner but when I pointed out to the bride the eyeshadow was a grey/mauve colour the bride realised she only ever wore browns!  That said it’s always nice to be inspired and have a look at what others have done for their wedding makeup.  My advice – be inspired but don’t copy! If you never usually wear eyeliner don’t suddenly go for a thick black line, you wont look like you and on your wedding day the most important thing is that you feel like the best version of yourself!

Celebrity Wedding Makeup Inspiration – Lauren Conrad

So I am of the generation that grew up watching The Hills – the original scripted reality and by far the best in my opinion!  I’ve long been obsessed with Lauren’s perfectly waved blonde hair and stunning makeup with those perfect black flicks.  Her wedding day was no exception.  I adore her glowing skin and the light, natural eyeshadow to give her eyes definition while leaving all the drama to her statement black flicks.  The glossy pink lip is a nice subtle finish to the makeup and avoids making the makeup look too heavy.  Just dreamy!

Celebrity Wedding Makeup Inspiration – Chrissy Teigen

We’ll all remember Chrissy’s wedding for John Legend’s hit song All Of You that he wrote for her but I love her wedding for her celebrity wedding makeup inspiration!  This is bronzed goddess dreamyness! Plenty of bronzer to shape the face without going extreme on the contour, soft browns on the eye with a little shimmer to brighten and widen the eye.  I love how her eyeliner just shapes the eye, no flicks or extension – so few people seem to forgo flicks these days but I love this enhancement of the natural eye shape.  Of course theres plenty of drama in the lashes and a softly defined brown, the natural lip gloss just finishes this off perfectly.

Celebrity Wedding Makeup Inspiration – Michelle Keegan

I’ve just finished watching Our Girl Season 3 – where it’s safe to say Michelle looks a little different to how she does here.  I’m still heart broken over Elvis’ death too but I digress.  Michelle was married at one of my favourite Suffolk venues – Hengrave Hall, not far from Cambridge it’s a venue I have worked a lot at over the years.  I love Michelle’s matte makeup look – she’s enhanced her features with plenty of bronzer while not using too much highlighter.  A little shimmer on the eyes really draws the focus to there.

Celebrity Wedding Makeup Inspiration – Miranda Ker

Miranda Kerr was the key wedding makeup and hair inspiration for my bride at our French Chateau wedding earlier in the year.  I love this classic, simple and classy look – it’s timeless and will never date which is definitely something to consider with Pinterest trends.  The slightly berry lip is perfect adding a touch of colour without being a statement lip.
