Two weeks ago my commute to work was a little longer then normal – 22hrs to be exact although that was mostly because of some bad luck with the weather! Eventually my kit and I made it to Chicago Illinois, USA! I arrived a few days before the wedding to acclimatise, get over the jet lag and make sure my kit made it all over safely – it did but I still made a trip to Macy’s anyway! After settling into the city and treating myself to a few purchases it was time for the wedding day. Sam and Jen married at Revolution Brewery in Chicago with all the bridal prep taking place at The Palmer House Hotel downtown. It was a beautiful day to look out over the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan as I got bride Jen, bridesmaid Ali and mom Tammy ready for the wedding. Jen went for a relaxed up do to compliment her dress, makeup we kept natural with definition on the eyes to make them pop. Ali too kept it natural with a loose up too – she still had the curls in two days later! Mom Tammy showed me a pintrest image of the makeup she liked titled ‘ridiculously sexy eye makeup’ and ridiculously sexy she did look! Their photographer Linda Horton captured these amazing images – I love all the graffiti backgrounds – it really works for the chilled out, city wedding Sam and Jen had.
